Poslovna izvrsnost – Business Excellence is a double-blind, peer-reviewed scholarly journal that has published theoretical and empirical research in business performance, quality, and organizational excellence.
Our mission is to publish original knowledge and advanced empirical findings that apply global frameworks across organizations and businesses worldwide to regional economies, with a special focus on business and operations in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE).
The journal welcomes contributions that apply globally recognized business excellence frameworks within regional and sectoral contexts. As an academic journal, we offer a venue for impactful research and business insights, covering topics that include:
Digital Transformation and Innovation
Industry 4.0, AI-enabled business models, digital marketing strategy, and innovation ecosystems.
Strategic Performance and Excellence Frameworks
Strategy execution, new performance systems, value creation, and the adaptation of excellence models (e.g. EFQM).
Leadership and Organizational Development
Leadership effectiveness, organizational culture, engagement, organizational learning, and talent development.
Quality and Process Improvement
Lean thinking, integrated quality systems (e.g. ISO), new organizational inside and outside data-informed processes
Sustainability and Responsible Business
ESG implementation, CSR, sustainability performance, and regulatory alignment across regional and new sectoral contexts.
We assume that, together, these themes capture the essence of excellence in modern business.
Our scope and mission are aligned with several United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly those addressing innovation, economic growth, responsible business conduct, education, and institutions that foster long-term excellence.

The Journal operates via the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform for submission, peer review, and publishing workflows. Authors submit manuscripts exclusively through the OJS portal.
