The Editorial Board advises
on the journal’s editorial policy, scholarly standards, peer-review practice, publication ethics, and strategic development. Editorial decisions are made by the handling editor and the Editor-in-Chief.
Editorial Board members may suggest qualified reviewers but are invited to review manuscripts only exceptionally, where specific expertise is required, no conflict of interest exists, and the member is not involved in the editorial decision-making for that manuscript.
The Board may be consulted in complex cases, including conflicting reviews, ethical concerns, appeals, or matters affecting editorial policy.
The Editorial Board currently comprises 34 members from 22 countries.
All listed Editorial Board and Advisory Board members have agreed to serve.
The board list is reviewed periodically and was last updated on May 10, 2026.
Editorial Board and Advisory Board membership is by invitation and is based on recognised expertise, research or professional standing, integrity, and alignment with the journal’s aims and scope. New or replacement members may be proposed by the Editor-in-Chief, the editorial team, existing Board members, or the publisher.
Appointments are reviewed by the editorial team and confirmed by the Editor-in-Chief in consultation with the publisher. The journal does not use public elections for Board membership.
Board composition is reviewed periodically to ensure appropriate disciplinary coverage, institutional diversity, international representation, and active contribution to the journal. Members may step down or be replaced in cases of resignation, prolonged inactivity, conflict of interest, or where changes are needed to support the journal’s long-term functioning.

The Advisory Board consists
of recognised scholars and selected professionals with expertise relevant to the journal’s aims and scope. It provides scholarly, professional, sectoral, and regional insight to support the journal’s development.
Advisory Board members do not handle manuscripts and do not make editorial decisions. They may be consulted as independent experts in complex subject-specific, ethics, or research-integrity matters. In exceptional cases, they may be invited to review submissions where specific expertise is required, no conflict of interest exists, and the member is not involved in editorial decision-making for that manuscript.
The Advisory Board includes 23 members affiliated with institutions, companies, or organizations across 18 countries.
